Last year I kept hearing good things about a nail polish brand named Julep that is based out of a chain of Seattle Washington Nail Parlors. I couldn’t find any of their polishes locally, so I kept checking blog sales and with other polish lovers to no avail. Then, I saw where Julep was going to start offering a Maven Program which is a monthly subscription program and I immediately signed up. I received my first box in August 2011 and instantly fell in love. This month marks their first Birthday of the Julep Maven Program. Not only are they available online for purchase, they are you can also find them at Sephora. Here’s what I found when I opened my August Box.
Printed on the inside flap was a message to their Mavens.
A personal hand-written card from Jane along with a little surprise.
A product card that is always included. It has helpful hints
and information about the products included in your box.
I am an It Girl, but this month I chose to be Boho Glam. I love that
you pick between 5 different themes each month, that you can skip
months and if you see 1 or 2 things in another box, you can select them
as add-on’s. First, the surprise in the gold bag, it’s a key chain/tag with
the saying “I’m an original” on it. Then a nice black bag with 2 metallic/chrome
polishes, Piper and Isla and a 4 oz acetone free pump style polish remover.
Close up of Isla (top) and Piper (bottom).
I will bring you swatches of Isla, Piper and of the other add-on’s in another post. Of course, I couldn’t wait and immediately swatched them on one finger each…one word….LOVE! I can honestly say Julep is a class act company that cares what their customers think, they had a few rocky moments starting out and have things operating so smooth now, their customer service is top notch…don’t be surprised if one day you hear from Jane herself. I am so glad I stuck with them, it is one beauty subscription service that I don’t want to do without!
