Le Metier De Beaute – Indian Summer 2012 by Ken Downing

Tonight, I am bringing you 2 new lacquers by Ken Downing for Le Metier De Beauty.  This collection was inspired by Indian Summer, that is when summer and fall meet for a brief, but gorgeous moment.

Wild Ginger is a bright orange sure to wake up a sleepy July afternoon.
Gorgeous on nails or toes or both. I’ve used 2 coats here
and loved the easy smooth application.

Penny Lane is great for those of  us who love the bold burnt orange color.
I used 2 coats in this swatch and this color is great now or for fall.
Again application was very nice.

Left – Wild Ginger, Right – Penny Lane
I love both, oranges have definitely become my
standout shade for summer and fall.

Ken Downing is the Fashion Director for Neiman Marcus.  Ken explains, “There is something about the seasoning mingling, when the nights begin to cool and the dog days of summer have gone to rest – bronze skin lingers, but the shades of fall make their debut.  It always brings me back to Bianca Jagger, 1970’s Halston moment.  It wasn’t just the clothing, it wasn’t just the makeup, it was how it all came together, so carefree, bohemian and easy.  That is Indian Summer.”  Ken Downing for Le Metier De Beaute Collections are available exclusively at Neiman Marcus, neimanmarcus.com (free shipping through 07/31/12 at 11:59 PM CT with code: JULYFS) and Bergdorf Goodman for $18 each.

What do you think about this collection?  Comment below what your go to colors have been for summer and have you already been looking at fall colors?
