Barielle’s Summer 2011 Karma Collection – Part 1

Barielle was nice enough to send me 3 of their new Summer 2011 Karma Collection polishes and their Nail Strengthening cream to review.  I also purchased the other 3 colors and will bring them to you later this week.  Today I will be reviewing the Nail Strengthening Cream, Positive ZEN-ergy, Gotta Have Fate, Do Unto Others.  I think all 3 of the polish colors would look good on any skin tone, I will be keeping all 3 and making them a staple in my collection.

The Nail Strengthening Cream is amazing, it hydrates the nails and makes them more flexible and stronger.  I’ll update you again on this product after 3 or 4 weeks of use.  It retails for $10. The application of the polishes were all flawless as I’ve come to expect from this brand.  2 coats of polish for it to be opaque.  I did not use a top coat to swatch them, so the shine you see is all polish. The polish retails for $8 each.
 Positive ZEN-ergy

Gotta Have Fate

 Do Unto Others

Right now at, you can get 20% off storewide which ends August 7th, 2011.  They also have buy one polish, get one 50% off one.  This is a great time to try out their new Summer Karma Collection, try some of their other shades or their hand/foot/nail care line.  You can also follow Barielle on facebook.  As always, let me know what you think!  Part 2 later this week 🙂

  1. I am looking forward to your update about the cream. Always looking for more ways to strengthen my nails after all we put them through (for the love of polish! 🙂 )I am really liking all three colours, they will go on my "want" list for certain. I think Positive ZEN-ergy is my favourite with Gotta Have Fate (love the play on George Michael) as my 2nd. I'm not sure how unique Do unto Others is yet but those types of colours rae always so popular (because they're AMAZING!).xoSara

  2. I cannot wait to see the rest of these in review from you. I have never been grabbed by an entire release in color from Barielle as I have been by this one. I don't see a dog in this collection release. And their nail streng. cream is the BEST product out there. I have used it for years. it's the ONLY thing I ever found (and tried a lot) that keep my nails growing, strong, not peeling. I use it in conjunction with another fav Bar. product their Intense Nail Renewal Oil that bar none works the best of 'em all out there. I only recently started to use them together every night. I used to think I needed to alternate nights because I thought the oil would pull out the nail cream like one lotion will dissipate another. But I noticed in reading the Barielle site, they said to use the nail strengthening cream first – I let it set up for about 30 sec, then add a thick coat of the Intensive oil, and do it when I am in bed and can sit without touching anything for about 10 mins so it all has a chance to work into my nails and cuticles/skin around the nail. It really gives my nails the 1-2 they need. I highly recommend this to everyone. It's better to buy the nail cream in the tub as you get more and then only grab what you need, vs. the tube you can get too much (and you need very little of this product) with no way to put back what you don't need. It's worth the $17 for the tub and it will last you almost 12 months using it every night. Barielle just finished their 20% off everything but they will have another similar promotion before the end of the year I hope. They tend to do it at least 2X a year and it's worth stocking up then. Their Total Foot Care Cream is my all time fav foot cream bar none and I have tried for 20 years, just about every foot cream out there.

  3. I am a real fan of the shade Do Unto Others and plan to wear it all of Sept on my toes and or fingers as the ovarian cancer awareness color. It's close to some shades that other companies have released for this awareness. Oh and it looks great with Barielle Budda-full over it!

  4. I'm going to do a post on the other 3 colors in the collection this week, they are as great as the first 3. And Do Unto Others would be a great tealish color for Sept. I'm slowly getting their hand/foot/nail care line and loving it all. I'll try to do their post on the products I have so far and more of their colors, I own quite a few now 🙂
