MADD- Don’t Drink and Drive Red Mani Day – For Brittany

Today is one of my “Causes/Awareness” Days.  The members in the facebook group Nail Polish and Gossip chose this day to honor one of our members Brittany, who’s life was impacted by a drunk driver.  We all painted our nails red for her and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
Below is Brittany’s story.

On July 14, 1984, Congress and President Ronald Regan
enacted legislation that set the national minimum legal
drinking age to 21.  Today, we celebrate the 27th
anniversary of the passage of that lifesaving law.

I know someone will ask how can painting our nails a certain color bring awareness to a cause.  Well to begin with, we share it on our blogs which hundreds or thousands of people see.  Even if one person during the day asks you about your nails, that may be one life you impact and save.

For Brittany and anyone else’s life that has been impacted by drunk driving, today I painted my nails Red.

I started with a coat of Nubar Base, then 2 coats of Nubar Unfaithful Red, then one coat of Nubar Diamont Top Coat.
Application was flawless as usual, I love this color!

Please check out the tab on my blog for awareness/causes and let me know of any I can add one for you.
